to Town Mall at Routes 148 and 9.
The entire elementary school will participate. People are invited to attend dressed in costumes representative of their heritage. The Peace Pole is a six-sided, 7 foot pole with "May peace prevail on earth" written in English, Russian, Spanish, French, Sign language and Algonquin (language of the native Nipmucs who originally inhabited the area). There will also be a time capsule on display which will be buried near the pole. |

Brookfield Massachusetts will celebrate its incorporation in 1673 with a gala 325th Anniversary Parade. The Shriners, area high school bands, floats by local organizations, dancers, antique cars, clowns, balloons, local politicians, and perhaps even an elephant or two, will make this a grand, old- fashioned tribute to small town New England life. |

Special celebration of Brookfield's 325th anniversary, with one day US Post Office mail cancelation, grande finale of the year long Beard/Bonnet Contest with participants in period costumes, dedication of bandstand, recognition of guests from Brookfield Scotland, our sister town, and much more! |
